Accessibility statement

Last reviewed:

At Webxya, we want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability, technology or how they access it.

Accessibility is also part of the work we do with the organizations we partner with, so we aim to apply the same principles to our own website.

This statement applies to webxya.com.

Conformance status

Our accessibility target for webxya.com is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

The website has been designed and developed with WCAG 2.2 AA in mind. However, we have not yet completed the accessibility evaluation required to make a formal conformance claim.

For that reason, we do not currently claim that the website conforms to WCAG 2.2 at any specific level.

We will update this statement after completing our accessibility assessment.

Accessibility features

We have designed and developed the website with accessibility as part of the process rather than as a separate layer added afterwards.

This includes:

  • Responsive layouts designed to reflow at narrow viewport widths without requiring horizontal scrolling for ordinary page content.
  • Support for browser text enlargement and zoom without loss of essential content or functionality.
  • Keyboard access to interactive functionality.
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators.
  • Layout and navigation designed to prevent fixed or sticky interface elements from obscuring keyboard focus.
  • Colour combinations designed to meet WCAG AA contrast requirements in both light and dark themes.
  • Information and states that do not rely on colour alone.
  • Decorative animation that respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting.
  • Correct page language identification for English and Spanish content.
  • Generously sized interactive controls, with key controls designed to provide target areas of at least 44 × 44 CSS pixels where practical.
  • Visible labels and instructions for form fields.
  • Form errors communicated using text rather than colour alone, with links to fields that need attention where appropriate.
  • Semantic HTML used wherever possible, with ARIA attributes and patterns used only where native HTML does not provide the required semantics.

These features describe our design and development approach. Their implementation across the website will be verified as part of our accessibility assessment.

Known limitations

We are currently preparing a formal accessibility assessment of the website.

Because that assessment has not yet been completed, there may be accessibility issues that we have not identified.

Any confirmed limitations will be documented here together with, where appropriate, the steps we are taking to address them.

Third-party websites and services linked from webxya.com are outside the scope of this accessibility statement.

Compatibility

Webxya.com is designed to work with current versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

The website is built using standards-based HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with WAI-ARIA used where additional accessibility semantics are necessary.

Compatibility with specific assistive technologies, browsers and operating systems will be documented here after we complete our accessibility testing.

Assessment approach

Webxya.com is currently being prepared for a structured accessibility assessment against WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

The assessment will combine automated testing with manual review. Manual testing will include areas such as:

  • keyboard navigation;
  • focus order and visibility;
  • zoom and reflow;
  • colour contrast;
  • headings and page structure;
  • forms and error handling;
  • accessible names and descriptions;
  • reduced motion;
  • screen reader interaction; and
  • selected browser and assistive-technology combinations.

When the assessment is complete, this section will be updated with the assessment date, methods and technologies used.

If possible, please tell us:
